Every message sent to Utility Pages goes to a real inbox monitored by the team. We don't use chatbots, we don't auto-route to ticketing systems that lose your message, and we read every email — even the short ones. We aim to reply within three business days; complex technical questions or data correction requests may take longer, but you'll always get a response.

If you're writing about a specific calculator, please include the URL of the page you're asking about. It saves us a round-trip and lets us investigate immediately.

What we hear about most

Most messages fall into one of five categories. Including the right details up front helps us respond meaningfully on the first reply rather than going back and forth:

Bug reports

If a calculator returned a number that doesn't look right, the tool didn't load, or the layout broke on your device, we want to know. Helpful details:

  • The exact URL of the calculator (e.g., /tdee-calculator)
  • What you typed into the inputs (specific values, not just “normal”)
  • What you expected to see vs. what actually happened
  • Your browser and version (Chrome 130, Safari 17, Firefox 119, etc.)
  • Whether you're on desktop or mobile, and the screen size if relevant
  • A screenshot if the issue is visual

Most reproducible bugs are fixed within 1–3 business days of receiving a clear report.

Feature requests

We add new calculators based on a mix of search demand and what readers ask for. If there's a calculator you wish existed (or an existing one you wish handled an edge case), tell us:

  • What the tool would calculate
  • The problem it would solve for you specifically
  • An example of an existing tool somewhere else that comes close, if there is one
  • How often you'd use it (one-off vs. weekly vs. daily)

We can't commit to building every requested tool, but we read every feature request and use them to prioritize the roadmap. Tools with multiple independent requests usually ship within a month or two.

Data corrections

If you see a number on the site that doesn't match an authoritative source — a tax bracket, salary median, cost-of-living index, university grading scale, formula constant, or anything similar — please tell us. The most useful corrections include:

  • The exact URL where the wrong number appears
  • The number we're showing
  • The correct number you believe it should be
  • A link to the official source (IRS, BLS, BEA, state revenue department, etc.)

We verify corrections against primary sources before updating. If your correction is right, we update within 1–2 business days. If we disagree, we'll explain our reasoning so you can take it from there.

Partnerships, press, and business inquiries

We're open to selective partnerships that align with the site's mission of free, accurate, useful tools — affiliate relationships with companies whose products we already recommend, contributor partnerships with subject-matter experts who want to add depth to specific calculator pages, and link partnerships with complementary non-competing reference sites. We are not open to paid placement of editorial content, sponsored calculator results, or anything that compromises the neutrality of what we publish.

For press inquiries, please include the publication, the angle of the story, your deadline, and what kind of input you need (data, quote, background context). We're happy to provide methodology details and historical data on request.

General feedback

If you just want to say a tool was useful, complain about a UX choice, suggest a typo fix, or share something you found surprising — those messages are welcome too. They rarely require detailed information; just write what's on your mind.

Response time and expectations

We respond to email within three US business days for the vast majority of messages. Bug reports with a clear repro step are usually fixed and confirmed back within a week. Data corrections take 1–3 days to verify and update. Feature requests get a response acknowledging receipt; whether and when the feature ships depends on the roadmap.

If you haven't heard back from us in seven business days:

  • Check your spam folder — our replies sometimes land there
  • Resend the message from a different address if possible
  • Confirm the email address you used; typos in our address bounce silently

What we won't reply to

To keep the inbox useful for actual users, we don't respond to:

  • Mass-blast outreach (link insertion offers, generic SEO services, “guest post” pitches that aren't actually about our content)
  • Unsolicited cryptocurrency, gambling, or adult content partnership offers
  • Requests to remove factual content because it inconveniences a third party (we'll only update factual content if it's wrong, and we'll cite the corrected source publicly)
  • Requests to provide individualized financial, medical, legal, or tax advice — every calculator on the site explicitly disclaims this, and we're not equipped to advise on personal situations

Other ways to follow Utility Pages

We don't currently maintain active social media accounts; the best way to know when new calculators ship is to bookmark our homepage, where new tools appear at the top of their respective category sections. We add roughly two to five new calculators per week.

Privacy

Email addresses you send us are used only to reply to your message and (if your message prompts a fix or new feature) to follow up when the change ships. We don't add contact-form addresses to a marketing list, sell them, or share them with third parties. See our privacy policy for details.
