How grades convert to points here
Grades at Drexel University carry plus/minus modifiers with distinct point values: A- at 3.7, B+ at 3.3, and so on down the scale. Those 0.3-point steps accumulate, and they are the usual reason a transcript that looks like "mostly A's" lands at 3.7 rather than 4.0.
Standing, honors lists, and retakes
On repeated courses: A course graded C- or lower may be repeated up to two additional times; once passed, the lower grade(s) are removed from term and cumulative GPA (replace), for up to 10 courses total in a student's plan of study.
One detail specific to this school
Drexel's grade-forgiveness window is unusually generous — up to 10 separate low-grade courses can have their original grades excluded from the GPA via the repeat policy, versus most schools' one- or two-course limits.
